Mt. Maranat

Mt. Maranat Itinerary
This was my second climb, the trail on this mountain is way more harder than the trail on Mt. balagbag, but this time I'm more prepared so I did not find it difficult.

Mt. Maranat Campsite

17:00 - 18:00 Meeting point Vito Cruz, Manila
We prepared and packed  up all of our equipment.
Meet-up

18:00 - 20:00 Vito Cruz - SM Fairview
Same routine as the first climb, we took our dinner at a karinderya near SM Fairview before going to Tungko.

20:00 - 20:45 SM Fairview to Tungko
We arrive at Tungko  earlier this time and we bought all the items we need.(same as the first climb)

21:00 - 21:45 Tungko to Licao-Licao
We arrived at Licao-Licao ahead of time and grab the opportunity to condition our selves physically and mentally.
 Licao-Licao jeepney station

22:00 - 22:30 ETA Licao-Licao to Balagbag Health Center
We start our night trek with a prayer lead by Mj asking for strength, guidance and protection. At the health center, you must pay P10 for the registration, remember this is a MUST for your own good. People there are very hospitable and kind, they will tell you a lot of advice but one thing I noticed is that they kinda drunk or in the presence of alcohol so I don't know how can they rescue if there's an emergency.
Registration

22:30 - 00:26 Health Center to Nanay Julma's Sari-Sari store a.k.a 7/11
We took a short break here. This store is open 24hrs during weekends and closed during weekdays according to nanay Julma herself. nanay Julma's famous delicacy is her Blue Biko(ube flavored biko), well I can say that it is not famous for nothing.
Short break

00:45 - 04:00 Nanay Julma's Sari-Sari Store - Camp Site
That's quite a long trek, the river crossing eat a lot of our time because of the strong current that day, there's a lot of people waiting in line for their turn to use the rope to be able to cross that river. We realize that we have to think some other way to cross that river or else we will end up waiting till the sun show up. So we decided to try river crossing but in a safest way as possible.
 Setting up tent
 Preparing Meals
Social Time

After our 2hrs rest we did not follow any Itinerary anymore but bare in mind that the last trip going to Tungko is 15:00 so you should go back at around 14:00-15:00 or else you will rent the whole jeepney and I heard it's around P700 (not so sure about this guys).
Here are some of our photos.
those local kids are the tour guide of the other group near us
